Mountain adaptive sports
Rock climbing, mountains, rafting, training and other activities — to restore strength, endurance and self-confidence.

participant's path
After a life-changing injury, many people must learn to trust their bodies again. We believe that recovery begins with movement.
That is why Second Wind develops adaptive mountain sports programs for veterans who have lost limbs as a result of war. Climbing, hiking, rafting, trail running, and other outdoor activities become much more than training sessions — they become a path to rebuilding strength, endurance, confidence, and a sense of control over one’s life.
Every trail, every summit, and every challenge serves as a reminder that the possibilities ahead are far greater than the limitations left behind by injury.
